Extranets and Intranets

Sharing information within a company (intranets) and with your customers / suppliers and business partners (extranets) can be a very valuable resource for your business.

Denhams.tv Fundamentally, an extranet is a private network on a website that shares information available only to visitors with a pre-registered log in and password. Tell use an extranet area to enable our clients to view work in progress – design concepts, amendments etc.  Another example is the systems used by schools and colleges wishing to share information between students, teachers and parents using specified permission levels determined by a users log in.

Intranets, however, work on the same principal but are not accessible externally, i.e. they allow sharing of information within a closed network.

PositivePurchasing - www.positivepurchasing.com Security and privacy are required to ensure both extranets and intranets can be safely used. Our clients are able to rely on high levels of security to keep their information secure and confidential.
